Interesting... as I go back and look at these I not only find the horizontal view more interesting, but find the vertical view somewhat disturbing. Can't figure out why.... fwb
Not only is it not squared up, the vertical panes slant left it also suffers from perspective problems where the lower panes are wider than the upper ones and we know that can't be the case but I think the kicker is there is more of that menacing coiled silver hose waiting...

I like the horiz better. It emphasizes the distortion of the tree shape.
