Yes. While I don't know exactly how it will come out when I release the shutter I usually know in advance that I'm going do work the image hard and have a pretty good idea of what will happen when I lean on the color saturation, contrast, blacks, and clarity. Then I see what pops up and work from there on shading and individual colors. It's always a surprise and lots of fun but can quickly slide into cliche.
